GUNUNG AGUNG NOW

MOUNT AGUNG VOLCANO

Located on the most eastern side of the Island of Bali, Mt. Agung volcano is the highest mountain on Bali and is held sacred by the population. Bali’s mother temple, Pura Besakih, is located high up the mountain slope.

The volcano is some 76 km away from the popular Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Kuta beach, Legian, Seminyak and other popular tourist destinations, and is also away from its capital city of Denpasar, so that tourists visiting the other parts of Bali SHOULD NOT be affected should the mountain erupt.

The National Disaster Mitigation Agency has stated that residents and visitors should not be within a 9 km (5.6 Miles) radius and within a 12 km (7.5 Miles) to the North, North-East, South-East, and South/South-West of the mountain.

So therefore, when you think about your next holiday, think about making friends with the people of Bali. And if you are traveling to and from the island during this time, we do advise you to confirm your travel arrangements directly with your Airlines Company or Travel Agent before heading to the airport.

THANK YOU for your endless support and thank you again for choosing Bali as your leisure holiday destination and we are looking forward to welcoming you and trust that now is the time to come and safely experience one of nature’s most incredible wonders.
